acidic soil

“In our concentric circle garden we grow vegetables and herbs. When we came here, of course it was just a field which had not been gardened. This is not a farming area. The soil is very bad, acidic. We kept working the soil and things were growing beautifully. And then we felt we should have the soil tested. So we tested it and it was tested very acidic (pH = 4.4) and the people in the department where we had it tested said to us, ‘We are sorry to let you know that nothing will grow here.’ But as you can see from the pictures, everything is growing here.”

vanilla
sugar cane

“Our first ever vanilla produce (1999-2000) was of excellent quality and the best in India. The vanilla bean curing process (three months) was started along with Homa Therapy treatment.”

  • Highest Vanillin content 2.91% in processed vanilla beans in India for the year 2000. Tested at Spice Board Evaluation Laboratory, Cochin, Kerala
  • Highest Vanillin content 36% in CO2 Vanilla oil, in the year 2004. Tested at Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore, Karnataka. (International commercial oils contain 27-28% Vanillin).

rice

  • Good yield in rice with minimum effort
  • 2004-2005: 28-32 bags per acre variety China ponni (One bag is 75kg)
  • 2006: 28 bags per acre variety Prasanna (90 days Aerobic Rice)
  • 25 bags per acre variety Lala Kadha. (No Organic manures given to the soil).

sugarcane

  • No attack of woolly aphid on sugarcane except in 2005 on a small portion (about 0.25 acres). Woolly aphid attack was controlled by natural predators Dipha aphidivora and Micromus igorotus. (Since 2002 thousands of acres in northern Karnataka and southern Maharashtra were severely affected including some organic farms.)
  • Organically Certified (USDA and EU specifications) excellent export quality processed sugarcane whole sugar and jaggery since 2006, superior quality as compared to any other organic farm produce in Northern Karnataka.

Another very important distinctive feature, natural red millipede compost all over the farm; this type of intense activity of red millipede has not been observed in any organic farms in India.

mango
cashew nut

“We came across Gurudev Shree Vasant Paranjpe between 1998 and 1999. From our discussions with Him, we realized that the cow is an important part in farming and this is the reason why the cow has been given an important place in our scriptures and culture. Another point we found out from Him was that for healthy farming the environment should be healthy and to achieve this a simple procedure of Agnihotra is advised. If we use the correct combination of cow and Agnihotra then we can achieve the same result in farming as our forefathers enjoyed.”

“I strongly believe there is no other technology which is economical and at the same time gives healthy and better produce. In this technology there is no chance of a farmer becoming bankrupt.”

“If we compare my produce like cashew, I have cashew nut trees which are 5 to 6 years old. I have traveled to Sindhudurg, Goa and Kerala. There 5 to 6 year old trees give 2 to 3 kg of cashew nuts. But my trees give more than 5kg per tree. This means I produce 50 to 60% more than others, using this technology. I have 8 to 9 year old Kesar mango trees. Kesar Mango trees around my area give 50 to 60 kg of produce. But in my farm I get 90 kg per tree. This makes me believe if any farmer uses this technology, then he will earn decent profit.”

“Secondly, for aromatic crops, I have planted patchouli and vetiver. The yield I get from my farm is higher than the yield available from other neighboring farms. There is a difference of 20%.”

mango

“I planted 10,000 Mango trees, variety Kent in 30 hectares in 1997. But we lost all the production in Piura with the climatic changes of “El Nino” in 1998. Banks were not giving loans either. However, in 2001, while I was the Director of the Office of the Ministry of Agriculture in Piura, I was fortunate to learn about the Agro Homa Supertechnology and decided to apply it in my farm.”

“The situation of the farm was critical, since there was not enough water, fertilization and appropriate management. The plantation was 4 years old with zero production. The Mango usually produces after 3 years. The following chart shows what happened with Homa application on my farm:”

“As you can see, there is a continuous increase in the production of an excellent, tasty and well paid fruit in the international market. Now, we added 22 hectares of organic banana and a packaging building. Dole is buying and exporting our fruits.”

“Besides greater and healthy production, the Agro Homa Supertechnology fruit is excellent, organic, ecological and exportable. Homa also provides an excellent working atmosphere.”

Report from Tingo Maria, Peru, 1999

Translation from original Spanish document signed and sealed by the Ministry of the Presidency – INADE (National Institute of Development) Republic of Peru, Special project Alto Huallaga

The Headquarters of the Zone Leoncio Prado-Padre Abad Certifies:

That since 7 months ago, in the area of Alto Huallaga, an Organic and Ecological technique called HOMA THERAPY, is being applied in the rejuvenation of the crops of the region, achieving to substantially reduce the existence of different pathogenic agents. As a consequence, plagues and diseases were eradicated, the yield of the harvest was increased, the fruit grew healthy, with better color, taste, weight, texture, etc.

Since many years, efforts have been made to overcome the critical situation regarding plant health, with methods such as: cultural control, chemical control, biological control, legal control, etc., without having achieved any success.

In the zone of Alto Huallaga to date we have established 30 modules and more are being installed in agricultural areas in which HOMA THERAPY is being applied, each one with 40 hectares. This makes a total of about 1,200 hectares; all of them are under an integrated system of perennial crops such as plantain, bananas, papaya, cocoa, citrus, avocados, coffee, tea, star fruit, mango, etc. These are combined with annual crops of a short vegetative cycle such as rice, corn, soya bean, nuts, sesame, etc., and complemented with apiculture and cattle rearing.

We give full support to Dr. Gloria Guzman Mendez in her capacity as expert and the person in charge of AGRICULTURAL HOMA THERAPY in our area of influence and we have considered to give total support to the farmers who have been working in the application of HOMA THERAPY because with their work, they are making a contribution in favor of agriculture, of the conservation of soils, forests and the preservation of the environment in the area of Alto Huallaga.

banana

“I am an agronomical engineer working for the Department of Agriculture, in the Ecuadorian government. I am also General Manager of this farm. I have monitored the progress on this Homa Farm since 2007. These are my most recent observations.”

“Homa Farming has been applied in the banana plantation, Fountain of Joy (officially still called “Sorrows”) since 2007. It has 2 Homa Resonance Points installed with the respective cabins for the practice of Agnihotra and Om Tryambakam Homa.”

(photo from left: Hernan Posas, Andres Arango (in charge of Homa Therapy on the plantation) and Prof. Abel Hernandez in one of the Homa Resonance pillars surrounding the farm)

“Some of the main effects are:

  • Plants with greater vitality (they have more energy).
  • They absorb more nutrients from the air and soil through their leaves and root system.
  • The immunity of the plantation has increased, allowing us to reduce the Black Sigatoka fumigation from 12/13 cycles to 6/7 cycles per year.
  • Applications of organic or chemical substances to control insects, such as banana moth, have been eliminated.
  • We have been able to maintain the plantation free of applications of nematocides.”

“In terms of production our farm became the number one in our region in the year 2008 with 3530 (three thousand five hundred thirty) boxes of bananas per hectare. And then in spite of the difficult rains in 2009, we achieved a production of 3349 (three thousand three hundred forty-nine) boxes per hectare.”

“In other areas, the benefits include:

  • Improvement of the interpersonal relationship among workers and a better work environment.
  • Crime has been eliminated on the plantation and in its surroundings.
  • The plantation has been kept free from damage normally caused by the flooding of the river Vinces.
  • The workers are more aware and take better care of the tools and work materials.
  • There is a positive effect on the neighbors who come into the healing Om Tryambakam hut seeking improvement in their health.”

Rangamani and T. T. Surenkumar’s Story

tea

“We used to have several types of infection in our tea garden, ranging from fungal to bacterial to various types of pests. In addition, when the tea bushes were pruned to the roots, the new sprouting leaves were infected by pests which used to curl the leaves and we used to lose a lot of good leaves.”

“Since we started doing Homa Therapy and applying Biosol made with Agnihotra ash, our tea leaves are without infection. We have not had any crop loss due to pests or disease. We pruned our bushes recently and there has been no infection at all. The new leaves are green and lush. All tea leaves have a healthy sheen (glow). The leaves remain fresh even hours after picking. And the quality of leaves has improved greatly!”

“Our silver oak trees which give shade to tea plants, have almost doubled in girth (circumference) in the past two years and seem to attract a lot of queries from timber merchants, much to our amusement. To everyone’s surprise, our silver oak trees have also started flowering! No one here seems to have seen such flowers before! All these are very encouraging changes.”

Our Green Tea Liquor
We have also started producing manually green tea liquor (extract of green tea, does not contain alcohol), which we receive from our garden and it is found to be top class by all who have tasted this liquor. We get golden green liquor without any bitter taste and it is taken preferably without any sugar, honey or similar sweeteners. It is a labor intensive method of producing tea. We enrich it additionally with herbs which we grow on our Homa farm. Our health has improved a great deal and we are always at peace and content.”

Flower Garden
“We also have a flower garden where we grow several kinds of plants. Due to use of Homa Therapy and the Agnihotra ash, the colors of the flowers are deeper and brighter and they attract many kinds of birds and butterflies. The number of birds in our garden and their variety and seems to grow every day.”

“We also discovered by chance that wilting plants revive when fed with Agnihotra ash water. Nowadays, whenever we make a new cutting for planting, we soak the cutting in Agnihotra ash water for several hours and then plant them. The new leaves sprout faster and establish roots more easily.”

“Our ornamental flower trees started showing flowers already in their first year and that has surprised a lot of people, including our workers.”

“There was one more tree whose name we don’t know and which grew from a small cutting to about 3.5 meters tall in one year and produced a crown full of flowers (see photo left). Another cutting of this was planted by us in a pot and then was passed on to my wife’s sister who lives about 8 Kms from our house. It grew to about 0.5 meter at the end of one year and there were no flowers.”

“We also noticed that the water retention of the soil in the entire garden has increased and even when there are heavy rains, we have no water runoff and no soil erosion.”

Plants react to Homa Therapy
“More than anything, the most noticeable feature of our tea garden is the overwhelming feeling of happiness, as if the plants are trying to reach out to us telling us how happy they are.”
